  • The 2019 Tier 1 call for projects is closed. The 2020 call for projects will take place in the spring.

On March 11, 2019, the Orange County Transportation Authority’s (OCTA) Board of Directors (Board) authorized staff to issue the Measure M2 (now known as OC Go) Environmental Cleanup Program (ECP), Tier 1 fiscal year (FY) 2019-20 call for projects (call). The M2 ECP Tier 1 Program funds projects that mitigate the more visible forms of pollutants, such as litter and debris that collect on roadways and in catch basins prior to being deposited in waterways.

Approximately $2.8 million is available to Orange County cities and the County of Orange through this call. While an applicant may submit multiple projects, the funding amount is capped at $500,000 per agency.

    How to Submit the Application

Information must be submitted using the M2 ECP Tier 1 FY 2019-20 application. An unbound original, and two copies (total of three) of the application and supporting documentation are to be submitted, plus an electronic copy of all application materials. Electronic application materials can be submitted via e-mail, USB drive or Dropbox. CD/DVD submission will not be accepted. Applications are due no later than 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019 by mail, or delivered to OCTA. Applications should be mailed to the attention of Joe Alcock, Local Programs Manager, at OCTA, P.O. Box 14184, Orange, California 92868, or delivered to OCTA at 600 South Main Street, Orange. It is anticipated the Board will review and approve funding recommendations by late summer 2019.

OCTA will be holding a call workshop on Thursday, March 28, at 1:30 PM at OCTA, 550 South Main Street, Orange, in conference room 09. OCTA staff also will be available to any local agency staff interested in an individual meeting to discuss the application process. We encourage agency participation at the individual meetings so OCTA staff can facilitate with the application process.
