Metrolink Service Change Effective April 7, 2014
Saturday & Sunday, March 8-9, 2014
Due to required track work on the weekends of March 8-9, Metrolink southbound service on the OC and IEOC Lines will end in San Juan Capistrano. Amtrak trains will operate southbound to Irvine and will be providing limited bus service south of Irvine for Amtrak passengers. This Amtrak bus bridge will not stop at the San Clemente Pier station.
Saturday & Sunday, March 15-16, 2014
Due to required track work on the weekend of March 15-16, Metrolink southbound service on the OC and IEOC Lines will end in Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo. Amtrak trains will operate southbound to Irvine and will be providing a limited bus bridge servicing all stops to Oceanside (excluding San Clemente Pier) for their passengers.
Weekend Day Pass
Effective July 1, 2013, Weekend Passes are good for one weekend day and will continue to provide unlimited systemwide access for Metrolink passengers. Monthly pass holders will continue to enjoy systemwide weekend access as well.
PCA Identification Cards
The Metrolink Board of Directors recently adopted changes to the Personal Care Attendant Free Ride Policy. Starting in the fall of 2013 (exact date -TBD), Personal Care Attendants will be required to obtain a Metrolink PCA Identification Card. This card will allow an individual to accompany a disabled passenger, who is PCA eligible, during their trip. The fee for the first PCA application will be $25 and every application thereafter will be $10. More details on this program will emerge in the upcoming weeks.
