Crazy Kids Day

When your adventure starts on a train, the day is bound to be awesome. Especially for kids. This itinerary has some fun suggestions from a cool comic book shop to some of the best cupcakes in town.

Itinerary

  1. Start crazy kid day at Comic Hero University, less than a block from the station. Be sure to check out the amazing collection of comic books for sale!

  2. Make your way to Lost Levels. They specialize in vintage to modern video games and consoles as well as classic arcade machines. They’re a couple blocks from the station at 114 N. Harbor Blvd.

  3. Stop for lunch at Pie Dog, just a couple of blocks east on E. Commonwealth Ave. There’s stuff for kids and a beer bar for mom and dad! Nitrogen infused coffees too.

  4. Promise them a treat for the train ride home at Hapa Cupcakes & Cakes, just a short stroll up Harbor Blvd. at Amerige Ave.

Arriving By Train

A masterwork of the Spanish Colonial Revival style, the 1930 depot includes graceful arches, quatrefoil windows, decorative metalwork and a Monterey-style balcony. Connects to train and bus.
