    Metrolink is a safe and stress-free way to enjoy art and culture from Downtown Los Angeles south to Oceanside. All these destinations are an easy walk from the station.

    1. Mission San Juan Capistrano

    The Mission is an easy four-minute walk from the station. It sits on the corner of Camino Capistrano and Ortega Highway. The Mission was founded in 1776, is the 7th of the 21 California Missions and is known as the “Jewel” of the Missions. It's open from Thursday through Sunday. For details visit their website.

    2. Museums in Downtown Los Angeles

    It would take multiple trips on Metrolink to visit the countless museums in Downtown LA. Some of the most popular include: The Broad, California African American Museum (in Exposition Park), Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), GRAMMY Museum (at LA LIVE), and the Japanese American National Museum. Be sure to check websites for hours. To reach the museums you’ll need to take a short ride on LA Metro, free with your Metrolink ticket.

     
    3. The Hilbert Museum in Orange

    The Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University, is a significant repository of images of the 20th century by California artists, celebrating the unique artistic and cultural development of the Golden State. It's located directly across the parking lot from the Orange Station.

     
    4. California Surf Museum, Oceanside

    Celebrate surf culture with inspiring and engaging displays of the people, events, and technology that make surfing cool. The museum is dedicated to archiving and displaying surfboards, surf art, memorabilia and more. It’s an easy 10-minute walk from the Oceanside station.

    5. Bowers Museum in Santa Ana

    Voted the Best Museum in Orange County, the Bowers features carefully curated exhibits from the Ancient Arts of China to First Californians to the Magical Art of Disney. The perfect activity for the whole family, with a special Kidseum for children. Make sure to enjoy lunch at Tangata, located within the museum. From the Santa Ana Station, take OC Bus 83.

     
    6. Fullerton Museum Center and Leo Fender Gallery

    The Fullerton Museum Center focuses primarily on pop culture with a series of rotating exhibits. It is home to the Leo Fender Gallery which tells the stories from the guitar makers many employees who toiled to make musical dreams come true. From the Metrolink station, it’s a five-minute walk north on Pomona Avenue.
