Measure M Taxpayers Oversight Committee Takes "Behind the Scenes" Tour of the I-5 Gateway Project
Several members of the Measure M Taxpayers Oversight Committee joined OCTA and Caltrans staff on a tour of the I-5 Gateway Freeway Improvement Project.  TOC members had the opportunity to tour parts of the project behind the k-rail to see construction activities "up close and personal." Members saw a large crane removing huge 80-foot I-beams from behind a recently completed retaining wall and were able to walk on newly poured pavement on the southbound side of the freeway prior to the lanes opening to traffic.  The project is more than 80 percent finished with completion scheduled for fall 2010.
