A Better Link

Add freeway capacity to the SR-91 in the westbound direction between I-5 and SR-57. Also, make operational improvements to corresponding on-and off-ramps.

A Wider Freeway

This project will add up to two lanes, including a potential auxiliary lane, and improve on and off-ramps along this key stretch of freeway.

Project Status

  • Project is in the Project Approval/Environmental Document phase
  • Draft environmental document is anticipated to be released in mid-2009
  • Public hearing will be conducted in mid-2009
  • Certification of environmental document estimated for late 2009 or early 2010
  • If finalized, construction could possibly begin in mid-2012 or 2013.

Benefits
When completed, freeway capacity is expected to increase and congestion will be reduced along this segment of the SR-91.
