A Wider Freeway

The project will increase freeway capacity and reduce traffic congestion by building new lanes and improving interchange operations in central and southern Orange County.






Planning for the Future

Build new lanes and improve interchanges on I-5 between SR-55 and SR-133. 

 

Project will help manage a projected 24 percent increase in daily traffic volumes and deliver  improvements to major route serving business activity centers in:

  • Irvine
  • Santa Ana
  • Tustin
  • Northern Orange County
