Whether you’re looking for bustling cityscapes, quiet beachside retreats or a glimpse into California’s past, it’s all available along the Pacific Surfliner route between San Diego and San Luis Obispo.

    Visit San Diego’s Old Town, the Mission in San Juan Capistrano or the happiest place on earth – the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. Experience the art deco grandeur of Union Station in Los Angeles, the coastal charm of Ventura, the American Riviera in Santa Barbara and the rolling hills and vineyards in San Luis Obispo. Everything that makes California iconic can be reached by the Pacific Surfliner.

    It’s also your stress-free connection to business centers and college campuses along this scenic stretch of California coast.  Children between the ages of 2 and 12 ride for half-price when accompanied by at least one person paying a regular adult fare. 

     

    Tickets can be purchased at each station served by Pacific Surfliner through ticketing offices or Quik-Trak kiosks. Quik-Trak self-service kiosks allow guests to make reservations, purchase tickets and pick them up at the station prior to boarding. Station amenities vary.     Enjoy free Wi-Fi, reclining seats, power outlets and storage space for carry-on luggage in overhead compartments. Checked baggage is available at certain stations. Bring your bicycle; all Pacific Surfliner trains are equipped with dedicated bicycle storage. The Sea View Café offers sandwiches, fresh salads, snacks, sweets and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Pacific Surfliner Business Class offers the added comfort of spacious reclining seats with extra leg room and power outlets along with complimentary snacks, beverages and newspapers.

    Connections
    The Pacific Surfliner offers 12 daily round-trip services between San Diego and Los Angeles and between Santa Barbara and San Diego, so you’re sure to find a departure time that meets your needs.  You can view the Pacific Surfliner schedule here.

    Other commuter trains, like Metrolink and COASTER make stops at cities not served by Pacific Surfliner. Use the Southern California Passenger Rail Timetable if you are using multiple services.
