The City of Fullerton and the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) will construct a vehicle undercrossing at the intersection of Raymond Avenue and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. The roadway will be lowered between Santa Fe Avenue to the north and Ash Avenue to the south.
During construction of the BNSF Railway bridge and the Valencia Drive roadway bridge, traffic will be directed to a temporary roadway that will be constructed west of the current Raymond Avenue. When completed, the project will move cars safely and smoothly under the railroad tracks, enhancing and boosting mobility.
Beginning late night on May 6, access to Valencia Dr. east of Raymond Ave. will be closed to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. This closure will be in place for approximately 18 months. During this closure, a detour will be in place via Kimberly Ave. and Acacia Ave. to access Valencia Dr.
