      Everything You Need to Know

This 3-year transportation program lets you ride OCTA's local fixed-route buses at no additional charge with the OC Bus mobile app or your activated student ID. Now there’s one less thing to spend money on!

      • For students who do not have access to a mobile smartphone, please contact the Office of Student Life at (949) 451-5278 or IVCStudentLife@ivc.edu. For more information, please visit here.

      • When you board, scan the pass on your smartphone.

      • OC Bus app passes renew each semester upon enrollment. Students must maintain enrolled status to maintain eligibility for the program. All bus passes are non-transferrable.

      • Irvine Valley College full-time and part-time credit students currently registered for the semester.

      • In order to address lack of transportation as a barrier to student success, the Associated Students of Irvine Valley College (ASIVC) is supporting a free bus pass program for IVC students. This partnership with the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) will allow full-time and part-time credit students, beginning Fall 2021 to access all OCTA fixed-route buses for transportation to school, work, or other destinations. The first year of this three year pilot program is funded by the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP), a part of the Cap-and-Trade Program. During the second and third years (Fall 2022 – Spring 2024), the cost of program will be paid for by the ASIVC.
