      Golden West College Students Ride FREE

      With unlimited rides on all OC Bus local fixed routes, it is easy and convenient to attend GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE.

      Relax in our air-conditioned buses and avoid paying parking costs. You can ride safely and with peace of mind that you are contributing to a healthier and greener environment.

      Download the OC Bus App to your mobile smartphone. Your pass will appear in the “My Ticket” section. To create an account, you must use your registered GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE email address.

      Everything You Need to Know

      This 3-year transportation program lets you ride OCTA's local fixed-route buses at no additional charge with the OC Bus mobile app or your activated student ID. Now there’s one less thing to spend money on!

      • If you do not own a mobile device, please activate your GWC Student ID card and use it as a bus pass. Bring your GWC Student ID card for activation in the Student Services Center:

      • When you board, scan the pass on your mobile device, or swipe your GWC Student ID.
        • For mobile app users, OC Bus App pass will renew each semester upon GWC class enrollment. Students must maintain enrolled active status for eligibility.
        • For non-mobile app users, you must reactivate your GWC Student ID card each semester to use as a bus pass. Fall Student ID cards expire in February; Spring Student ID cards expire in August.
        • All bus passes are non-transferrable
      • All full-time, part-time, and non-credit students enrolled at Golden West College.

      • Starting in the fall 2019 semester, the first year of this 3-year pilot program is funded by the Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP), a part of the Cap-and-Trade Program. During the second and third years (fall 2020 – summer 2022), fees for the program will be paid by the Associated Students of Golden West College (ASGWC).
