Public Records Request


Upon receipt of a request for a copy of public records, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) shall determine whether or not such request seeks copies of disclosable public records in the possession of OCTA. OCTA shall provide written notice of this determination within ten (10) calendar days of receipt of the request pursuant to California Government Code Section 6253. Thereafter, any disclosable public records in the possession of OCTA shall be made available upon payment in advance of the costs of duplication. If the requesting party seeks only access to review the requested records, arrangements shall be made for said review during normal business hours.

The following fees will be assessed if copies are produced by OCTA:

Photocopies: $0.25 for each single-sided page
Color copies:  $0.50 for each single-sided page
Oversized documents: Actual duplication costs incurred
Postage: Actual postage costs incurred
Certification: $3.30 per document
CD/DVD/Flash drive: $10.00 each
Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700): $0.10 each for single-sided page

All fees must be paid prior to receiving the copies of the records. 

Please identify each requested record/document separately.  Please be as specific as possible regarding:

  • Request for Proposals or Invitation for Bid numbers. 
  • For bus videos, provide the four digit bus number(s), route number(s), date and time along with cross-streets. 

Non-specific inquiries may cause response to be delayed while your request is further defined.

Note: Any requests received after 4:30 p.m. will be considered received on the following business day.
